Our TYs have had a very busy September! Following on from their trip to Inch, they carried out a beach clean in Rossbeigh and a clearing and pruning of the native forest in Mount Henry.
They also made their annual pilgrimage to the National Ploughing Championship where a great day was had by all.
In school, They had a nutrition talk from Paula Duggan of Balance Nutrition and an interview skills workshop with Mary Lucey on behalf of Cara Credit Union. This will be followed up tomorrow by a day of Mock Interviews, an invaluable life-skill.
Our Gaisce program has also kicked into gear with activities such as yoga with Bridget, pilates with Tony, drum n’ dance with Urs & Katrina, photography with Paudie Healy and sign language classes, poly tunnel work, paired reading with 1st Years, along with community work in such as making owl boxes, volunteering with Vincent’s and working in the the Community Garden.
