The ISK would like to extend our gratitude and thanks to Ms Josepha Clarke and Ms Helen Standen on their respective retirement from teaching. These two wonderful ladies have been a fantastic presence in our school for many years.
Ms Standen taught English, Spanish, CSPE and Learning Support throughout her time in the school. Her kindness and dedication to her pupils were exemplary. Her role in the Grow, Cook & Eat initiative was outstanding. Helen’s gift at multiple foreign languages made sure that nothing was ever lost in translation for students or staff on the 5th Year School tours to Paris and Rome.
Ms Clarke taught English, Religion and SPHE throughout her time in the school. With her trademark Black Cape she was a fantastic and diligent teacher to her students who she always made sure were primed and ready for their Leaving Cert English exams. Josepha contributed hugely to Graduation Masses, Christmas Markets and Senior School Tours during her very distinguished time in our school.
Thank you ladies for all your kindness, warmth and dedication to our students down through the years. Everyone in ISK wishes you and your families all the best always.
