Spring has arrived and it is time to mention just a few of the activities the students have been involved in recently.

First Years have taken part in a series of events including a public speaking competition, their very own music show and also a highly successful Spelling B competition to mark World Spelling Day.

Best wishes to all teams who continue to represent the school in Football, Basketball and Rugby.

Congratulations to Paddy Collins, Sean Kelliher, Claire Doyle and Laura Kennelly who qualified for the International Childrens Games which will take place in South Korea later this year.

A group of students from Aix en Provence in France spent some weeks in the school during February and some Fourth Year students from the ISK will complete the second half of the exchange in France during mid-term.

4th Year LCVP students recently went on a highly informative outing to Astellas where they got to see how the company operates.

Congratulations to the 4th Year Business students who took part in the county enterprise competition in Tralee. Credit to all for the time and effort which they put in over the last couple of weeks. Students included: Jane Hickie, Aoife Griffin, Orla Prendeville, Niamh Foley, Amy Cronin, Oonagh Gleeson, Daniel Macbeth, Wesley Delaney, Rebecca Spenser, Eoghan Conway, Ryan Ashe, Daniel O’Shea and Colm O’Mahony.

A group of 4th Year students also attended the Mental Wellness Exhibition in Killarney.

Best of Luck to Fiachra and Niamh Clifford who qualified for the All-Ireland Cross County finals in Galway.
